"The mountains are calling and I must go" ~ John Muir

My post graduation thesis focused on the present biodiversity of mangroves in Ennore, TN. After graduating, I spent some time working with Dakshin Foundation on their environmental education (EE) programme -- revising, developing and field testing content for a teachers' handbook on EE specific to Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Following that, I got the opportunity to gain some hands-on restoration experience while working at EarthCorps, a non-profit organization based in Seattle, Washington. From the Cascades to the Anamalai Hills came the calling. I am excited to be a part of the Rainforest Restoration project with NCF, to learn more about rainforest ecology and to get public stakeholders more directly involved in the restoration activities.
